Degraves Blackdrop | Having so little time to get out and shoot in 2019, I was focussed on going directly to spots I knew I could (hopefully) get a result. Degraves Street Melbourne has long been a popular spot to take street photos, and that’s why I previously stayed away from it. However, around lunchtime, the sunlight would splashdown and provide such strong direct light. With deep dark shadows folded around this light, I found using the shadows as a backdrop was a great way to highlights every curve, straight line, colour, contrast and shape that appeared in front of me. Whilst my Blackdrop project is ongoing, this is my progress to date.
